Cleaning the Coffeepot
1. Try Soaking with VINEGAR - Vinegar truly is a natural cleaning fan's best friend. Soak the coffee pot in a solution of half vinegar and half water and let it sit for a while. Then rinse and wipe out with paper towels and you should notice a BIG difference. Use more vinegar if the pot is looking particularly bad.
2. Salt & Ice Trick - This is actually a trick shared by a waitress friend. About two tablespoons of regular or chunky salt swirled around with ice in the coffee pot at the end of every shift -- she said this did the trick and kept all of the coffee pots glistening. If it's good enough for a restaurant, it's surely good enough for us slobbos!
3. Add Lemon - The same basic trick as above, but with a squeeze of lemon is someone else's recommendation.
4. Baking Soda and Vinegar - This popular mix foams up dramatically and will get that coffee pot looking better than it has in ages. Use a soft scrubby sponge to get all those stains out.
